Amputees

Represents and protects the prosthetic and orthotic profession with regard to its status and interests. Do not take enquiries from members of the public.

Promote the general welfare and rehabilitation of people of all ages without limbs through amputation or otherwise. Provide advice and information to people born without limbs or who have had an amputation. Promote rehabilitation through a home/hospital visiting service. Membership and a quarterly newsletter (20 pounds per year).

Promotes the relief of children with upper limb deficiencies by encouraging mutual aid and support between families. Open Mon-Fri, 9.30am-5pm.

STEPS is a national charity providing support, information and practical help for children and adults affected by clubfoot, hip dysplasia and other lower limb deficiencies. We have an online discussion forum on our website and we offer a family contact service where we can put individuals/families in contact with other individuals/families on our records who are in a similar situation.
