Textphones, screen telephones and accessories

A textphone is a telephone device that has a keyboard and a display screen. The user types what they want to say rather than speaking into a mouthpiece. Calls from a textphone to a standard telephone can be made via RNID's Typetalk relay service which converts text-to-voice and voice-to-text calls. Caption or 'screen' phones do not have a keyboard but do have an integral display screen on which the incoming caller's speech is displayed in text format. View relevant references ‣
